Cape Kayaks & Adventures has the ideal location to launch and explore the Table Mountain Marine Protected Area from the sea providing unique and spectacular photo opportunities. Our shop is conveniently located at Three Anchor Bay Beach where all our kayaks are stored on the beach. From Three Anchor Bay we embark on a 3- 4 km journey either towards Granger Bay or Bantry Bay and then we return to the starting point.
The view of Signal Hill, Lion’s Head, Table Mountain, and the 12 Apostles is unforgettable. Uninterrupted views of our spectacular mountain range and the sea breeze will leave you feeling rejuvenated and hungry to taste more of what The Mother City has to offer.
The trip to Granger Bay takes us past the Green Point Lighthouse, the wrecks of the Seafarer and RMS Athens, and one of the favorite hangouts for our endemic Heaviside (Benguela) dolphins. They are common companions to our trips – particularly on summer mornings.

If you are prone to seasickness please take the necessary medication before arrival, the Atlantic Ocean is always in motion so rather take the medication in case.

I enjoyed a wonderful 9am tour with Hassan, where to my delight we saw quite a few groups of penguins swimming and several dolphin pods. Hassan took his time, so we weren't rushing through the dolphin encounters which were towards the second half of our tour, and I so enjoyed the experience of them swimming around (and under) our kayak. I enjoyed talking with Hassan during the tour and learning about his life in SA and Malawi. And The booking liaison was incredibly friendly and helpful at arrival. Also appreciated that she could take my tip for the guide by credit card. Overall a great experience, and I look forward to returning for a future tour when there's the possibility of seeing whales! - Kristen
It was my first time on a Kayak Adventure, so it was a bit of mixed emotions for me on the oceans however because I like to explore new things, I opted to be the hotel host for one of our VIP guests and his daughter. Amazing is not a big enough word to describe the adventure, from the get-go, the staff received and welcomed us with such warmth, guided us on the briefing journey, to the actual rowing experience in the ocean. Noah was our guide, he was fantastic, he was very knowledgeable about the adventure, very friendly and made us feel so comfortable on our first experience.
