Cape Kayaks & Adventures offers the perfect launch point to explore the spectacular coastline of the Table Mountain Marine Protected Area from the sea. Located on the beautiful Three Anchor Bay Beach, our conveniently situated beach shed is where your adventure begins. We store all our kayaks on-site and provide lockers for your valuables, allowing you to relax and enjoy your experience.

Three Anchor Bay is a sheltered bay on Cape Town’s Atlantic Seaboard, offering a beautiful natural launch site for coastal kayaking adventures. Depending on the weather conditions and marine life activity, we paddle towards either Granger Bay or Bantry Bay before returning to our starting point.

Prepare to be captivated by breathtaking views of Signal Hill, Lion’s Head, Table Mountain and the magnificent Twelve Apostles mountain range. From the water, you’ll experience Cape Town from a truly unique perspective, with uninterrupted ocean views, refreshing sea breezes and the opportunity to encounter fascinating local marine life in its natural habitat.

Important Information Before Your Trip
Bookings and weather conditions

Advance booking is essential.
All trips are weather-dependent to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our guests.
Please ensure that you remain contactable on the mobile number provided with your booking.
In the event of a cancellation due to unfavourable weather conditions, we will notify you via WhatsApp or email.
Arrival time

Please arrive at the Cape Kayak beach shed 20 minutes before your scheduled activity to allow sufficient time to prepare for your adventure.

Cancellation policy

Our cancellation policy requires at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. In the event of a no-show, 100% of the booking fee will be forfeited.

Motion sickness

If you are prone to motion sickness, we recommend taking any appropriate motion-sickness medication before arriving for your activity, following the medication’s instructions.

WeatherSafety first

What to WearComfortable beach wear (quick dry clothing is not essential but it is more comfortable). Your clothing does get spalshed so bring a towel and a change of clothes for after. Flip-flops work best Hat and Sunglasses.

Things to BringSun protection ( sunscreen, hat & sunglasse) Barefoot or flip flops work best. Please stay hydrated. The Atlantic Ocean is always cold , so bring soemthing warm like wind -breaker or long sleeve. Quick-drying clothing is recommended. Motion illness medication or any medication you may need. ( asthma pumps, insulin, etc)

If we have to CANCEL due to unsafe paddling conditions, we will notify you as soon as we notice the inclement conditions. PLEASE NOTE that weather conditions can change with little warning and to ensure your safety the guide on duty may be required to make a last-minute call to cancel the trip should they feel conditions are unsafe. (You will have an opportunity to then move your booking or receive a full refund) Vouchers are non-refundable.
